Elder Nomination

The month of February is the designated time for the members of Faith Community Church to thoughtfully and prayerfully submit elder nominations.

The biblically designated leadership under Christ and over the assembly are elders (who are also called overseers, bishops, pastors, and pastor-teachers). God’s design is that these elders be males and that each church be lead by a plurality of these men.

The qualifications for an elder are clearly stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. These biblical qualifications should be clearly affirmed by those around an elder, both inside and outside the church.

The Elder Nomination Form linked below lists out each of the qualifications found in 1 Timothy and Titus. Based upon your knowledge and your honest evaluation of his life, character and abilities, please rate your nominee on a 1-5 scale from dissatisfied to satisfied. You may also select “Not observed” when appropriate.
